The purpose of this course is to help students to understand the meaning of the main problems through studying the main topics of the course, to understand the place of culturological knowledge in modern society, to form the most significant social, personal and general cultural competencies: understanding the diversity of cultures and civilizations in their interaction, awareness the importance of science in modern society, the ability to critically perceive information, tolerance, respect and acceptance of the Other (race, nationality, religion, status, role, gender), understanding the role of art in society.
